Mike McLeod, P.T., BSc Hons Kin, MSc PT

Mike joined Absolute Rehab Centre in 2014.

He completed his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy degree at McMaster University in 2014. Before pursuing physiotherapy, Mike completed his Honours Bachelor degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2012, taking the honours co-op program where he worked in various fields from biomechanics research to exercise program design for people undergoing cancer treatment. During his undergraduate years, Mike played varsity rugby for UW and summer rugby for Waterloo County RFC. Mike has had physiotherapy placements in several different fields such as hospital acute care, orthopaedics and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

Mike is passionate about balancing exercise management and manual therapy techniques to give the patient the tools necessary to perform an effective home exercise program. Mike finds continued education essential to effective physiotherapy care and will be pursuing acupuncture and manual therapy courses in the future.

Outside of physiotherapy, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, friends and family, staying active with sports and working out, reading, camping, fishing and running a music blog with his brother.

Mike is very excited to start his physiotherapy career at Absolute Rehab Centre and looks forward to making a positive impact in the KW area.
