Waterloo Osteopathy

How is Osteopathy Defined?
Waterloo Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual form of therapy which emphasizes the interrelationship between structure and function of the human body. It follows a belief in the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate. Osteopathic practitioners don’t see themselves as healers, but instead as FACILITATORS to health.

There are many forms of Osteopathy, however, at Absolute Rehab, we use Principle-based Osteopathy. This form of Osteopathy is found in almost all types of this therapy method and maintains the founding principles of the practice.

Osteopathic Practitioners are trained to treat the different layers of the body based on their keen understanding of anatomy and physiology. And unlike other health care professionals, Osteopathic Practitioners focus on mastering principles rather than techniques and exercises.
